The Vineyards
Discover the essence of Minnesota's unique winemaking heritage at Rolling Forks Vineyards, where our vines thrive in the heart of a truly distinctive glacial terroir. We are dedicated to cultivating exceptional cold-hardy grapes, carefully selected to not only survive but flourish in our climate. Learn how our passion for these remarkable varietals results in the sophisticated, award-winning wines you love.
The Land
We fell in love with this farm for its gently rolling hills and its incredible potential for growing grapes. Our vineyards are situated on a unique and diverse glacial terroir, a landscape carved by ancient ice thousands of years ago. The resulting soil composition—a mix of sand, rock, clay, and loam—provides excellent drainage and stresses the vines in a way that concentrates their flavors. This land is our most precious resource, and we are committed to farming practices that honor its history and preserve its health for future generations.
The Grapes
In 2010, we planted our first vineyard, and today we manage 18 acres of cold-hardy grape varieties across our estate. Using GPS-guided precision and supported by an underground drip irrigation system, each vine is carefully planted to ensure optimal growth.
At our home estate, we cultivate Marquette, La Crescent, Petite Pearl, and Crimson Pearl. Just a few miles away, we manage additional vineyards, where you'll find Brianna, Frontenac Blanc, Frontenac Gris, Prairie Star, and Louise Swenson, all thriving in our unique climate.
Our Wine Portfolio
We offer a range of distinctive wines, crafted to be savored and perfectly suited for good company and long, memorable evenings. From sweet to dry and everything in between, each wine is thoughtfully balanced with just the right blend of body, complexity, and a smooth finish.

Our Name
Rolling Forks Vineyards
Our name is inspired by Rolling Forks Township in Pope County, Minnesota, located just south of our vineyards and winery. The township earned its name from the gently rolling prairies and sculpted hills near the Chippewa River—a landscape that mirrors the natural beauty surrounding us. While we’re located in Glenwood Township, we share a deep connection to that spirit, reflected in the sweeping views of Lake Minnewaska that make this place so special.
